Concrete construction and maintenance are two services that we’ve combined into one for your convenience. When you consider installing a new concrete structure or surface into your home, you’ll likely want it done by a professional who is experienced in taking on the project of preparing the construction site and clearing the space for new concrete. When new concrete is to be installed, it must be done so in a work site that has been cleared and is ready to host the weight and height of new concrete.
Concrete construction is the process of planning and preparing a new work site for a concrete installation. For example, if you’re looking at installing a new concrete driveway, the area mapped as your driveway will need to be marked off accordingly so that other materials are not able to interfere with the concrete while it’s being installed or drying. Furthermore, concrete construction must also look at the area where the concrete will be installed and beneath the surface. If there are items in the ground such as boulders or tree roots that have extended into the area where the concrete will be poured, then they need to be removed to prevent future cracking in the concrete.
There is generally not much maintenance required when caring for concrete, aside from filling cracks and holes over the years with professional crack sealers and keeping the concrete clean and sealed. When your concrete is sealed with a heavy-duty sealant, it is then protected from outside elements such as heat and moisture. Although concrete is very heat-resistant, adding a sealant to it will only increase its durability even further to combat such elements for many years.
Concrete cleaning, when done correctly, is quite easy and doesn’t even need to be done all that often. Using a power washing system to thoroughly remove all the dirt and debris that can accumulate in the crevices of the concrete, you can quickly remove all buildup with a simple power-washing hose. With the force of the power washing system and the water, you’ll start to notice particles lifting from your concrete and slowly washing away.
Concrete customization consists of the ways in which you’re able to customize your concrete to your liking. We offer other concrete services that allow you to do this, such as concrete stamping and concrete staining. With concrete stamping, we use a light stencil that is briefly applied to the top of the wet concrete in the design or pattern of your choosing, which later mimics other building materials such as brick or stone, when completely dried. Concrete stamping is an easy and fantastic way to personalize your concrete with some depth and texture. Like concrete stamping, concrete staining is another way to change up the color of your concrete by adding a pigment to the top layer of the concrete which alters its shade and gives it a newer, fresher look.
